Worker Guide

Workers are the people who fulfill orders on Kadaikodi. A worker belongs to a merchant and completes worker tasks — delivery, pickup, service, inventory, and cleanup jobs tied to live orders.

Getting Started​

Worker setup​

  1. Be added to a merchant's worker roster by the merchant
  2. Complete the onboarding your merchant requires
  3. Set your availability
  4. Open the worker app to see assigned tasks

Work Process​

Task management​

The worker app surfaces your tasks:

  • Today's tasks — current assignments
  • Available / assigned tasks — work to pick up
  • Each task shows type (delivery, pickup, service, inventory, cleanup), priority, optional due time, optional location, and the order it fulfills

Task lifecycle​

Move a task through its states:

  • assigned → in progress → blocked → completed → cancelled

Completing a fulfillment task is designed to drive the linked order's status, so the order lifecycle and the field reality stay in sync (in progress).

Fulfillment types​

Tasks are created from the order's fulfillment type:

  • Pickup — the customer collects the order
  • Delivery — deliver to an address
  • Cart dispatch — dispatched from a mobile/cart operation
  • On-location — fulfilled at the customer's location
  • Home service — performed at the customer's home
